Nick joined us in September 2010 as a Chef De Partie at The Hand & Flowers. He quickly progressed to Sous Chef and was an integral part of the team awarded two Michelin stars in the 2012 Michelin guide, becoming the only pub in the world to gain this accolade. Nick's next big achievement was opening The Coach and winning a Michelin Star! Nick is now our Head Chef at Kerridge's Bar & Grill and has recently competed on Great British Menu.

    The Michelin results are out and Tom Kerridge’s pubs have successfully maintained the prestigious accolades at both The Hand & Flowers (Head Chef Tom De Keyser) and The Coach (Head Chef Sarah Hayward), both in Marlow.

    Head Chef Sarah Hayward also won big at last night’s Michelin Guide Awards for Great Britain and Ireland taking home the ‘Young Chef Award’ at the prestigious event in Silverstone, where Tom Kerridge joined Sarah on stage to congratulate her. Michelin described Sarah as ‘tenacious and determined yet modest’.

    Tom Kerridge Says, “I am obviously delighted that Tom and Sarah and the teams have maintained their Michelin stars, they are both incredible chefs who I have worked alongside now for many years. I am particularly thrilled for Sarah winning the ‘Young Chef Award’, she is a fantastic chef, level-headed, grounded, focused and truly dedicated to her craft. She has put her own stamp on The Coach, I’m so proud of her, she is such a talent”.

    Head Chef Sarah Hayward comments, “Wow, I am really blown away to be honest and really humbled to receive the ‘Young Chef Award’, what an honour. I have so much respect for Michelin and I know how proud my Dad will be, being a chef himself. I’m so grateful to my team and of course Tom Kerridge, who has helped me become the chef I am today and given me the confidence and belief that I can achieve anything”.

    Maintaining two Michelin stars at The Hand & Flowers, Head Chef Tom De Keyser says, “I am delighted, myself, the kitchen and front of house team work so hard throughout the year to keep the standards as high as they can be and I couldn’t be prouder of the team. There will definitely be a few celebratory drinks!”.

Tom Kerridge Careers Meals From Marlow 01

Meals from Marlow

Meals from Marlow was created at the start of Lockdown to provide support for Key workers and those in need both in Marlow and surrounding towns during the pandemic.

The scheme has so far provided over 100,000 meals, by working with the NHS and many community organisations both within Marlow, High Wycombe, Slough, Maidenhead and other local areas.

The project is now being formalised as a permanent charity to provide support for those in need in the region. We plan to continue to work closely with local organisations and charities to ensure that the meals produced find their way to those most in need, relying on our partners' experience and expertise to support our neighbours each and every week.

Little Discoveries

In February 2021 Tom announced his participation in creating short films with Save the Children UK and Discovery RISE called Little Discoveries, raising awareness and funds for those most in need during the pandemic; the kids💛

When COVID-19 hit, Save the Children worked closely with communities to establish families’ greatest needs. They found that school closures, job losses and economic hardship posed a severe threat to children’s learning – especially for families already living on low incomes.

Tom is helping by creating short cooking videos with Discovery called ‘Little Discoveries’ which aims to get kids cooking some simple but delicious meals at home. There are other videos available in the ‘Little Discoveries’ series each presented by an expert host who will show you some fun family-friendly activities we can all do indoors.

Full Time Meals

Marcus Rashford and Tom Kerridge are proud and excited to announce the launch of our ‘Full Time’ campaign, supported by Facebook and Instagram.

Marcus has been doing a phenomenal job in shining a bright light on the nation’s child poverty issue and continues to fight for systematic change and Government support. His formation of the Child Food Poverty Taskforce has brought together the biggest players in the British food industry, to stand united in finding a long-term sustainable framework to combat child food poverty across the UK.

This is a cause that is close to Tom's heart. Whilst Marcus and Tom are from different generations, they share a lot of similarities in their journey to success. Tom also grew up in a single parent household on a council estate, his mum worked 2 jobs and, although he never went without food, times were difficult, and money was tight.

It’s heart breaking to think that 4.2 million children in the UK are living in poverty, no child should go to bed hungry but today, far too many do. We live in the third largest economy in the world – it’s time to call full time on child food poverty.
